Taman’art space

by Aissa Joud

A few kilometers from the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a house is situated on the side of the road. The house doesn’t look different from all the neighboring houses; however, once you pass the traditional wooden door, you realize that you are entering a different space. The furniture is recycled from different times and places, such as the table that used to be a wheelbarrow in a Bouazar mine, or the sieve covering the light of the lamp, which used to be part of a woman’s kitchen. Taman’Art space is also decorated with a number of original artworks from the young artist Aissa Joud. In a way, Tamanart space is also an original artwork by Aissa.

From Ouarzazate, you can take the national road No. 9 towards Marrakesh. At the village of Tabourahet, turn right towards Ksar Ait Ben Haddou via regional road No. 1506. When you reach Tamdakht village, you’ll find Tamanart space located on the right side of the road.

Duration: 38 minutes, Distance: 36 km

The regional road 1506 intersects with the national road number 9, leading to Marrakesh through Oued Ounila and the Kasbah Tlaouat.

Aissa Joud

A young Warzazai artist, Aissa, was inspired by the passion of his parents and his surroundings in Taboraht village. Usually, parents do not see art as a field that guarantees financial stability for their children, but luckily, Issa’s parents were the first to support him in his pursuit of art.
Issa’s passion for art encouraged him to join the Institute of Traditional Arts in Casablanca, where he developed his artistic skills and discovered new horizons, allowing him to dive deeper into new and exciting experiences. Today, Aissa presents his works in the most prestigious galleries in Morocco. He is carving his way into becoming one of the most successful artist entrepreneurs in the region.
